About
Joseph Carrigan is a photographic artist living in Toronto.
Joseph works in 35mm, medium format, 4×5 and 18×24, explores multiple alternative processing techniques with a special interest in the unique characteristics of lens designs, particularly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A recurring theme of his work is the capture of time, events and activities in a single still image, accomplished through different means ranging from time exposures, to multiple exposures and innovative processes. The resulting images are often experiential in and of themselves.
